The Honest Kitchen prides itself on producing a full line of human-grade foods that are safer and healthier for pets than most mass-produced brands. The Honest Kitchen was seeking a more dynamic way to continue to deliver the best ecommerce experience possible for their customers and needed help replatform their site to Shopify.


My team approached the project with an open and creative mindset to overcome an array of challenges. Timing and Cost were big ones. THK needed to launch the site quickly, as their license for Magento was expiring, but also did not have a large budget. My team was engaged to translate the brand experience to Shopify, but to adapt where it would yield gains in speed of development by leveraging Shopify's UI and features.


Leveraging third-party Shopify Apps where possible was essential to meet The Honest Kitchen’s critical business needs. The build included 31 Shopify Apps, as well as 6 custom business critical, customer experience React applications built and deployed natively in the cloud. 


Due to my team's work, The Honest Kitchen was able to adopt as many out-of-the-box Shopify features and reduce the total cost of ownership.
